CRBC holds general convention 2019

Council of Rengma Baptist Churches (CRBC) general convention 2019 hosted by the Tesophenyu Lorinyu Baptist Church (TLBC) concluded its three-day programme under the theme “Let us Rebuild, Word and Prayer” Nehemiah 2 : 17- 18 on December 22.

A press release from CRBC general convention 2019 media and publicity committee convenor, Dr. Gwathonlo Tsela stated that, the morning session of the 2nd day commenced with Dr. Kethoser Anieu Kevichusa, ministry associate, RZIM, as the main speaker who spoke on the topic “Let us rebuild: towards a kingdom culture”. 

A workshop was conducted separately for man, woman & youth group, for which the resource persons were Rev. Dr. Phanenmo Kath, Nyurhünle Ruby Kent and Jonathan Mesen respectively. 

The evening youth celebration programme featured the musical band ‘Divine Connection’ besides performances by various participants.

In different competitions held during the event among the churches under the council, T. Zisunyu Baptist Church, Rengma Baptist Church Kohima and Ziphenyu Baptist Bagged first, second and third in hymnal category. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the Bible recitation was bagged by Tseminyu town Baptist Church, Tseminyu village Baptist Church and Ziphenyu Baptist Church. In the Bible quiz competition, the 1st position was  T. Zisunyu Baptist Church and RengmaGaon Baptist Church.Phenshunyu Baptist Church and host TesophenyuLorinyu Baptist Church bagged 2nd and 3rd position.

The last day witnessed Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho general secretary, NBCC as the main speaker in the morning devotional service who spoke on “Let us rebuild: towards a transformed community”. In the evening service, Dr. Joshua Lorin, principle OTS in his message delivered a note on rebuilding towards a corporate commitment. 

The convention concluded with a flagged down ceremony which was participated by all the pastors of 42 churches under CRBC after a closing prayer led by Haiwalo Apon, executive secy, CRBC.
