Meeting for Republic Day celebration held in Dmu

Deputy commissioner Dimapur, Anoop Kinchi convened all HoDs meeting under Dimapur district in the conference hall of DC Dimapur on January 4, to discuss about the activities for ensuing Republic Day (RD) celebration.

According to DIPR report, in the meeting, Anoop directed all HoDs to take serious note for ensuring strict attendance of their staff during the RD programme to be held at DDSC stadium Dimapur. He further urged upon the various departments to put in their best efforts in rendering their services as per work allocation, for successful celebration of the programme.

In the meeting it was decided that rehearsal for the parade contingents would commence from January 21 to 24. Commissioner taxes office, district transport officer Dimapur, district agriculture officer, director land records and survey have been assigned to provide drinking water and refreshment in turn to the parade contingents during the rehearsal period.

ADS Supply was entrusted to provide refreshment at the rostrum and officers gallery during the RD celebration.

Besides, agri and allied, excise, ATMA and other departments were asked to set up stalls for displaying their products/materials for the benefit of the public. Work allocation was assigned to different departments for successful celebration of the programme. 

In the meeting it was also decided that afternoon programme highlights would include exhibition football match to be played between DBs and GBs, tug of war between Dimapur district lady officers verses Naga women hoho, volleyball match between DC office and commissioner police Dimapur.
