12-year old girl found dead with throat slit in Dmu

In a shocking incident, a 12-year-old minor girl was found dead with her throat slit on Sunday afternoon at Phaipijang village, Dimapur. The victim was a class 6 student of GMS Phaipijang.
According to reports, the incident took place when the girl, who was staying at her uncle’s place, was home while both her uncle and aunt were in Church.
The brutal incident came to light when the victim’s aunt returned home from Church and found her niece lying in a pool of blood with her throat slit.
When contacted, Dimapur police confirmed that the incident took place at Phaipijang village.
However, police said preliminary investigation was on and they were yet to ascertain the reason behind the killing.
