The board of directors, officers and employees of Nagaland State Cooperative Bank (NStCB) bid farewell to retiring managing director, Imtilemba Longkumer, at head office, Dimapur on June 30.
A press release by NStCB managing director, Lipoktoba Aier stated that, Kekhwengulo Lea, vice chairman of the bank chaired the program and he lauded the corporate leadership quality of the outgoing managing director and highlighted the achievement made during Imtilemba’s tenure.
Abao Kire, speaking on behalf of the board of directors of the bank, said that the “extant pleasing financial parameters of the bank” demonstrated that big changes had taken place with Imtilemba taking over as managing director and his staying in office for so long did not happen accidentally but due to his dedication.
The bank has earned an operating profit of Rs 837.15 lakhs during the year 2016-17 which was the highest ever profit in the history of the bank so far, stated Abao Kire.
Earlier, R. Lipoktoba Aier, incoming managing director delivered the welcome speech and vote of thanks was given by D. Sale, general manager (ID). A. K. Deb, general manager (Accounts & MIS) spoke on behalf of the bank. Others who spoke were B. Bumo, addl. registrar of Cooperative Societies, Nagaland, Rev. Dr. Chingmak Chang, executive secretary, ECS Tuensang and H.C Biswas, asst. general manager, NABARD.
The program started with an invocation prayer by Rev. I. Wati Jamir, pastor DABA.
