Rongmei Students Union Dimapur (RSUD) organized a felicitation program for successful students of Class X and Class XII on June 23 at Rongmei Tribal Court, Chungaizaeng Burma Camp Dimapur.
A press release issued by RSUD president Chunthailung Kamei stated that, development secretary Rongmei Baptist Church Association Nagaland, Akeina Gonmei, addressing the gathering as guest speaker, congratulated the successful students. She said that to be an excellent student, one had to be a God fearing student. Gonmei also asked the students to be sincere in their approach, respect their parents, work hard and achieve excellence.
The felicitation program was chaired by Neirinlu Gonmei, invocation said by George Malangmei, catechist, Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Diphupar and act of felicitation was conducted by Sangamlung Dangmei, secretary Education & Statistics. Welcome note was delivered by Chunthailung Kamei, president RSUD, a special number was presented by Sunday school students of Dimapur Rongmei Baptist Church, speech on behalf of the students was delivered by Lanjikliu Gonmei and vote of thanks was delivered Chingholu Kamei. Special prayer for the students was conducted by Rev. Gaidim Kamei, Rongmei Baptist Church, Burma Camp. Altogether 76 students were felicitated during the program.
