ASTD backs DAYO, CNSA stand against NSF ultimatum

Ao Senso Telongjem Dimapur (ASTD) has come out in support of Dimapur Ao Youth Organization (DAYO) and Central Nagaland Students’ Association (CNSA) statement against Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) ultimatum on the state government.

While appreciating stand of NSF against the “rampant backdoor” appointment in government departments, depriving educated unemployed youths of the state, ASTD president L. Wati Jamir and secertary K. Mar Lemtur however said that the NSF involving tribes (signatories) from outside the state has raised a big question amongst the tribes of Nagaland. ASTD reminded that as far as governance of the state of Nagaland was concerned, there was a clear demarcation between Nagaland and other neighboring states.
Therefore, ASTD said NSF should have kept this in mind and pointed out that cross border organization was not feasible for a just growth of the Nagas.
It opined that the ultimatum should have been issued from and within the ambit/parameter of the state of Nagaland.
