
Robotic & artificial intelligence training and distribution was kicked off at Kiphire block along with the celebration of “National Science Day” under the theme “Women in science” with Dr. Zavei Hiese chief scientific officer of Science & Technology as the guest of honour on February 28 at Hopongky Memorial hall Kiphire.
Special guest in his inaugural address stated that the main aim of organising this was to create awareness on the latest technology on robotic & AI, because these were the next generation technology. He added that students can take a career in this field and to create interest at an early age and to make them more prepared. He opined that through this training students learn the basic of robot and AI, and urged them to take the robots back to their respective schools and teach others also to motivate them and create a better society. He stated that being an aspirational district, students of Kiphire were the luckiest, the first of its kind in Nagaland by getting two robotic kits for each school in the district. He also mentioned that robotic training shall cover Seyochung and Pungro blocks from February 29 to March 2.
Earlier, programme was chaired by Tsipongla area education officer, while James T Khulu SDO (C) Kiphire also gave a short speech. Vote of thanks was done by Lichumse Sangtam asst. district coordinator, DEO Kiphire. Two robotic kits were distributed to each school.
