DNSU raids liquor outlets

Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) members, assisted by Dimapur police, carried out raids at two location– below fly over and Durga mandir, on Saturday night and seized  641 IMFL and 5346 bottles of different brands respectively. DNSU media cell said that the raid was carried out following complaints from individuals on illegal sale of liquor.

Accordingly, an FIR were lodged at East PS and a suo-moto FIR at Sub-Urban PS.

DNSU expressed shock that despite repeated warning by Excise and police department, there have been rampant sale of liquor. 

The union affirmed that such raids will be jointly conducted with Excise and Police from time to time and urged the general public to extend full cooperation.
