9th foundation-cum-cultural day celebrated at MITE

Modern Institute of Teacher Education (MITE) celebrated its 9th foundation-cum-cultural day on March 2.

A press release from MITE stated that, the special guest B. Nellayappan, assistant director, directorate of School Education, Nagaland, assured that directives would be given to government middle school and government high school for B. Ed internship.

He proposed to have a discussion with principals of all B. Ed colleges in Nagaland to have a common format for internship. During the entire session of both formal and informal, various items were also performed.

Meanwhile, “significance of foundation day” was shared by Dr. Devanand Sinha, principal MITE and requested the special guest to help the college improve through financial support from the government.

Earlier, students and teachers performed drama based on impact of technology, medley, the jungle major and the puppet show.

The programme was attended by managing director MITE, along with chairperson, A. Kaisa Mao, wife of late Hekha Mao, founder of MITE. Programme ended with a closing prayer by Khekavi Kiny.
