Zutoi HSC inaugurated at Niuland

Zutoi health sub-center (HSC), Niuland block, Dimapur was inaugurated by chief medical officer (CMO), Dimapur Dr. T. Pangjung Sangtam and dedicated by pastor Tokhavi Aye on March 3. 

A press release from CMO office Dimapur stated that, Dr. Pangjung noted that a health sub-center though provides only basic health services, play a major role in preventive aspect. He further stated that Zutoi HSC belongs not only to Zutoi village but to all the surrounding villages. He therefore urged the community to take ownership of the health center as its future development and maintenance depended on the community participation and support. He also requested the community to co-operate and assist the staff of the health center.

Earlier, Khevishe Zhimomi, head GB of Zutoi village stated that village leaders of Zutoi, Vikheto, Zhekishe, Tokishe and Wachan had petitioned to the Medical department to establish a health center in Zutoi village. He, therefore, appreciated the Medical department for fulfilling their hope and aspiration. Tokugha Zhimo, Village Council Zutoi village also requested all necessary equipments, furnishing and health sub-center services to be provided along with more staff so as to make the health facility fully functional.

Programme was chaired by pastor Tokhavi Aye and closing prayer by associate pastor Nikali. Other officials present during the inaugural ceremony included Dr. Antoly Suu, Dy.CMO; Dr. Benchilo, DTO; Dr. Imtiwabong, DVBO; Dr. Rebecca, DPO (UIP/RCH); Dr. Caroline, MO Niuland CHC; DPM (NHM); BPM Niuland block and district media officer (NHM).
