ENCSU literary event held in Longleng

Second day of Eastern Nagaland College Students Union (ENCSU) literally event which was held during the evening session on January 29 was graced by B. S. Nganlang Phom MLA & chairman DPDB Longleng as literally guest.

Exhorting the gathering, B.S. Nganlang Phom recounted his life experiences as a student where he had to travel long distance from Longleng to Tuensang to appear matric examination, via Mokokchung which took him two days to reach the destination. 

He said life was so hard during those days where not everyone could afford to get education, whereby he challenged the students of the state in general and Eastern Nagaland in particular to be sincere, honest, hard working and strive for quality education. He urged them to stay away from laziness and set target to have bright career in future.

Phom also urged the students’ community to have bright vision and inculcate the habit of self reliance which would benefit not only an individual but can promote the community in general. 

He also urged the students to move out from their comfort zone and become more generic in knowledge with competitive spirit so that good future leader and successful central and state officers could emerge. He said that “without self discipline, success is impossible” and success cannot be borrowed from anyone in life. 

Others who spoke during the evening included Menuokholie Kire, joint director (Admin & RUSA) Higher Education, Mane Phom,  president Phom Students’ Conference (PSC). Earlier the programme was compered by Phatsou and Hanalemla K, invocation prayer by Angphenla, women secretary (PBCA), welcome address by Serichum Sangtam vice president ENCSU and special presentation by Dimapur unit.
