
GMS Seithekema ‘C’ has been given a thorough makeover where, classrooms have been whitewashed, repainted and kitchen and bathroom connecting drainage also built.
A press release from GMS head teacher, Alongba Toshi stated that, SMC chairman Monkha Rengma, head teacher Alongba Toshi, teaching staff and concerned village authority built two classrooms. The school established in 1978 also required land filling.
The administration and village authority shared their concerns as many students discontinued their education, resulting in more drop-outs due to economical factors. In this regard, dumper and JCB service for construction work was donated by Seithekema ‘C’ village council chairman Bei-u Thepa, CGI sheets were provided by Seithekema ‘C’ village council, while rest of the materials and works were arranged and carried out by SMC, villagers and teachers. Meanwhile, the head teacher thanked the concerned groups for their services both physically and financially for the school’s welfare.
