DHD declared COVID-19 hospital

Health & family welfare (H&FW) department Wednesday announced that the Dimapur District Hospital (DHD) has been identified as COVID-19 hospital. According to an official bulletin, no new patients will be admitted at DHD until further notice.

It was informed that all existing in-patients at DHD requiring further hospitalization would be shifted to Referal hospital CIHSR, Eden Medical Centre, Zion Hospital and Research Centre, Nikos Hospital and Research Centre and Nagaland Multi-specialty Health and Research Centre, provided the patients could be safely moved. H&FW stated that other hospitals would be designated as and when required.

District Health Authority would make arrangement for providing OPD services in various government health institutions like Urban Primary Health Centre Burma Camp, Urban Primary Health Centre Duncan, Primary Health Centre Chumukedima, and Police Referral Hospital Chumukedima. All suspected COVID-19 cases or flu-like symptoms from any private hospital or public health centre would be referred to the COVID-19 Hospital for screening.

Medical expenditure for existing in-patients shifted from DHD and new emergency patients would be worked out with the respective hospitals. The above listed hospitals would be empanelled under AB-PMJAY if not yet empanelled. Free benefit would be provided to AB-PMJAY beneficiaries as per guideline.
