Lockdown guidelines to remain: CS

State chief secretary, Temjen Toy, has reiterated that all the existing guidelines with regard to the lockdown in all parts of the state would continue to remain operative till further orders.

Revised SOP for returnees: Meanwhile, the state government on June 1 issued a revised Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for returnees to Nagaland.

As per the new SOP, those returnees from Chennai, who are still in Kohima and Dimapur quarantine centres, will continue to remain until the COVID-19 tests are carried out.

However, those persons who test negative will be sent to their home district and those who test positive, but do not require hospitalization and are fit to travel, will be sent to their home districts to be kept at COVID-19 Hospitals for treatment. 

Returnees who have arrived from the Green Zones of the North East states before May 18, and have completed 14 days institutional quarantine and not exhibiting any symptoms will be immediately released for undergoing home quarantine for another 14 days without the mandatory testing.
