General meeting of Zakiesato Colony Dimapur (ZCD) ward-2 council was held on January 28, 2018 at the residence of ward-2 council chairman, Kevi Zakiesato, which was attended by elders, leaders and residents of the colony.
Speaking at the meeting, council chairman urged the colony members irrespective of caste or creed to maintain peace and collectively work for the betterment of the colony. Also, at the meeting, ward-2 GB, Zubemo Lotha, highlighted the constitution of the colony council while Nazim Uddin Chowdhury explained the rules and regulations of the council.
On behalf of the business welfare committee, its president, Khehoto Achumi, appealed to the members of the business community to remain united and work cohesively for the progress of the community in particular and the colony in general.
Sanitary and domestic affair in-charge, Arenla Zhimo, stressed the need to maintain cleanliness within the colony.
Further, at the meeting, the members of the council paid tribute to and saluted late Dr. T Ao on his 100th birth anniversary.
Meanwhile, the council general secretary, Joyson Shimray, expressed gratitude to the residents and guests for extending cooperation and turning out in huge numbers.
