With the objective for students and parents to get genuine unbiased information on various skill development trainings and career opportunities in Japan, Nagaland Governor, P.B. Acharya launched Eduwork Japan Centre of Excellence as the chief guest at Hotel De Oriental Grand Kohima on Monday. Youthnet worked in association with Eduwork International Services Pvt. Ltd to bring the centre to Nagaland, and is supported by the Government of India Embassy in Tokyo Japan.
Acharya, in his address, lauded the initiative of the centre to strengthen the young people with skilled education. He mentioned that despite having numerous colleges in India the knowledge acquired in present education system was not applicable for social or economic development.
He therefore, called on the youngsters to change the mindset of craving for white-collar jobs but instead become entrepreneurs stating that there are enormous natural resources in the state that can boost the development of the state. He also reminded the youngsters that they have a debt towards their own people, society and the country and asked the students to come back to Nagaland after completing their courses and vocational trainings to serve the society.
He challenged the young people equipped with skilled knowledge to become entrepreneurs and job givers and render their services to the people instead of always depending on the government.
Managing Director and CEO, Eduwork International Service limited, Raju Monga shared a brief history of the Centre and said it was a platform to provide quality education in order to excel in their careers.
He said the centre will provide guidance, mentorship and opportunities to the youngsters of Nagaland. “We are here on a long term for the youths and students of Nagaland,” said Monga.
Monga said that free Japanese language training will be provided before the students joins the course in Japan. Director O-Hara College of Business, Japan Language institute, Tokyo, Japan, Hisahiro Yoshioka in said the institute is committed to moulding the future of students through specialized education and to contribute to social development.
