DAH&VS conducts mass vaccination for animals

Two- day district level awareness camp /mass vaccination (mass vaccination for small and large animals) was conducted by Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services (DAH&VS) on January 22 and 23, at unity village, Dimapur. 
In his keynote address, Chief Veterinary Officer (CVO) Dr. B Atem Longchar stressed on the importance to maintain proper hygienic condition of animals to avoid related disease in dogs. Dr Vikshe also spoke on the management and to control swine fever and diseases in animals.
The vaccination camp was led by Dr. Michael Imchen and his team. Around 500 animals were vaccinated.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Deputy CVO, Dimapur Dr. K Thungchamo, invocation by Ao Baptist Church (ABC) unity village pastor L. Panger Jamir, while resource persons of the programme were Dr Vikshe (VAS) and Dr. Imomanen.
