CYF backs CPO standing resolution

Chakhesang Youth Front (CYF) has resolved to stand by the earlier standing resolutions of Chakhesang Public Organisation (CPO) to preserve and protect the environment in Chakhesang inhabited areas of Phek district.
This was informed in a press statement, issued by CYF president, Lhuvesayi Lohe and general secretary Medovelo Sono.
In this regard, CYF resolved that Rs. 20,000 will be imposed on the defaulter/s found engage in indiscriminate burning of jungle and Rs. 5,000 for collection or extraction of medicinal plants.
The front has also decided to strictly enforce ban on hunting within its jurisdiction and that Rs. 5000 will be imposed on any person found carrying weapons, explosives, firearms, poison, etc. The front also resolved to ban using of equipments or apparatus such as battery, generator, chemicals, etc for fishing and defaulters will be imposed a fine of Rs. 5,000.
It also informed that interested person or party will be allowed import of piglets or pigs weighing below 30 kgs for rearing on producing health certificate from veterinary department.  Import of piglets or pigs above the prescribed weight would be penalized with a fine of Rs. 20,000, CYF informed.
In view of the above, CYF has appealed the public to abide by the resolution passed by CPO, for the welfare of the community.
It also informed the subordinate area youth presidents, town youth presidents and respective village youth presidents to implement the resolutions in their respective areas.
