Extension of visa for foreigners in Dmu

Commissioner of police (CP) and foreigners registration officer (FRO) Dimapur has informed that regular visa, e-visa or stay stipulation, for foreign nationals who were stranded in Dimapur due to spread of COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent travel restrictions imposed and visas which had expired or due for expiry during the period February 1, 2020 (midnight) to May 3, 2020 (midnight) would be extended till midnight of May 3, 20200 on “gratis” basis on application via https://indianfrro.gov.in/frro (Dimapur FRO helpline No.7085065056/email fro-nadpr@nic.in). In a circular, CP and FRO Dimapur also informed that exit permit for stay upto May 17, 2020 could be applied for free of cost. However, CP and FRO stated that overstay penalty would be applicable beyond that time period.
