Excise (Narcotic Cell) duty personnel conducted surprise checking of hotels and booze joints in different pockets of Dimapur from June 25-30 and seized 593 bottles of assorted liquor.
A press release by deputy commissioner of Excise (NC), S. Chanlei Angh stated that the 26 persons were arrested and penalized under relevant sections of the Nagaland Liquor Total Prohibition (NLTP) Act 1989.
The release informed that the checking was carried out under the command of AIE Kenzeu, AIE Chuba and AIE Tovika.
