In view of some frontline workers being tested positive for Covid-19 infection in Kohima, a mass preventive testing for Covid-19 infection for all the persons/workers involved in “Bethel Kitchen” Kohima was carried out compulsorily, and all the results turned out to be Covid negative.
However, as per the guidelines on preventive measures to contain the spread of COVID-19 in workplace settings issued by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Directorate General of Health Services (EMR Division), Govt. Of India, the Bethel Kitchen was temporarily closed for 48 hours and fumigated following all health safety measures and SOPs of the government.
Therefore, Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie has informed that Bethel Kitchen shall henceforth be functional/operational w.e.f. July 4 in the same location as usual with utmost precaution and safety measures. Further, all the workers/persons involved in the Bethel Kitchen Kohima have been advised to follow all safety precautions of wearing masks all the time, frequently washing hands and maintain social distances to ensure public hygiene and personal safety.
