Nagaland chief minister Neiphiu rushed to Delhi on Tuesday to meet the Central leaders on issues concerning the state.
According to sources, Rio left for Delhi to discuss with the Central leaders about the issues raised by Nagaland Governor, R.N. Ravi in his letter to the chief minister. It was also learnt that the PDA leaders during its meeting on July 10 decided to apprise the central leadership about the Governor’s letter.
In this regard, it was decided that both NDPP and BJP were to depute two representatives each to meet the central leaders– chief minister Neiphiu Rio and minister G. Kaito Aye of NDPP and state BJP president & minister Imna Along and deputy CM Y. Patton of the BJP. However, due to certain reasons the chief minister had to leave for Delhi as he was also asked by the Central leadership to meet them, sources said.
