ATMA Niuland block organises demonstration programme

ATMA Niuland block conducted demonstration on “Line sowing methods in soybean” at K. Hetoi village on July 20 with BTM, (Niuland Block), ATMA Dimapur, Demalu Hasnusa as the resource person. 

A press release by ATMA Niuland block stated that, he encouraged the farmers that sowing should be done in lines 45 cm-60 cm apart and plant to plant distance can be kept from 4 cm to 5 cm. The sowing depth of soyabean seed should not be more than 3 cm-4 cm under ideal moisture conditions. Appropriate physical distancing was maintained and COVID-19 safety kits and information pamphlets about precautionary measures were distributed to the 12 farmers present.
