Land Owners Union (LOU), Doyang Hydro-Electric Plant, requested Doyang Hydro-Electric Plant (DHEP), NEEPCO Ltd., for immediate release of relief package to meet the urgent need of combating the pandemic, as well as for protection of means of survival for the 17 affected villages.
In an appeal letter by LOU, DHEP president Rhanbemo Odyuo and general secretary P. Roland Ezung to the head of plant, DHEP, NEEPCO LTD., the union stated that the 17 land affected villages of the DHEP was severely affected, putting survival in jeopardy due to the COVID-19 pandemic forced lockdown.
It stated that affected villages were facing livelihood crisis and sustenance, whereby the union requested the corporation to immediately announce relief package to meet urgent need of combating the pandemic, as well as for protection of means of survival for the affected people.
