Ngozubomi Students’ Union (NSU) has extended support to the demand of Eastern Sumi Students’ Union (ESSU) to complete the abandoned GMS school building at Ngozubomi village.
A press release by NSU media cell stated that, the school building project was sanctioned between the years 2010-13 and implemented by the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), District Mission Authority, Zunheboto. Pointing out that instead of entrusting the school building construction to School Education Committee (SEC), as per the government’s normal directives, the NSU stated that officials of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), District Mission Authority Zunheboto (DMAZ) took up the construction work which “insult the Education Department, Government of Nagaland and the entire student’s community.”
While waiting for the concerned authority “to find out the culprits who had been involved in this severe fiasco relating to education of students”, the NSU has urged the concerned authority to take befitting action upon the culprits and to ensure the early completion of the school building as demanded by ESSU.
Meanwhile the Viyilho Students’ Union (VSU) in a press release by president Inaholi and general secretary Avibo stated that it was closely coordinating with the ESSU, School Management Committee (SMC), village council, GBs and elders to find out every information relating to the obstruction of GMS school building construction.
Union has already traced the details of the individuals from the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), District Mission Authority, Zunheboto (DMAZ) who undertook the GMS building construction and left abandoned.
Union would like to urge upon the concerned authorities both in the district and state level to punish the culprits and to complete the construction of the GMS school building of Viyilho at the earliest.
Union further cautioned that if any forces or individuals come to the rescue of the culprits it would not hesitate to submit the indicated names to the ESSU for further course of action.
