Incessant rainfall had triggered a massive landslide under Tobu sub-division, from Tobu town to Monyakshu via Wangshu-Tamkoang-Yongkhao and Pessao village which was the only lifeline for the seven villages.
Villagers of the seven villages have been clearing off the mud for months that occurred in almost all the roads up to the village, to ensure that trucks carrying essential commodities and medical emergencies passes through. Along with the villagers, village councils and party workers, advisor N Bongkhao Konyak initiated the clearing of landslide and made it motorable from July 30.
