Nagaland COVID-19 tally 6244

Nagaland on Thursday reported 81 COVID positive cases, 57 in Dimapur, 20 in Kohima, 2 in Mokokchung and 1 each in Longleng and Mon, taking the tally to 6244 cases. As per the severity of symptoms, 1044 active cases were asymptomatic,32 mild and 2 moderate cases.

Further, out of 6244 cases, the distribution across various categories of people include 2974 cases from the armed forces/police, 1501 returnees, 1423 traced contacts and 346 frontline workers.

Existing lockdown curbs to continue

State government has notified that the existing guidelines with regard to the lockdown/ unlock in all parts of the State issued vide Order dated August 31, 2020 would continue to remain operative in Nagaland till further orders. This was stated in an official order by the office of the chief secretary, Nagaland.

India’s COVID-19 tally crosses 63L
PTI adds: India’s COVID-19 caseload crossed the 63-lakh mark with 86,821 infections being reported in a day, while 52,73,201 people have recuperated so far, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Thursday. The recovery rate stands at 83.53 per cent.
The total coronavirus cases mounted to 63,12,584, while the death toll climbed to 98,678 with the virus claiming 1,181 lives in a span of 24 hours, the data updated at 8 am showed.
There are 9,40,705 active cases of coronavirus infection in the country which comprises 14.90 per cent of the total caseload, the data stated. The COVID-19 case fatality rate due to the coronavirus infection has dropped to 1.56%.
