While extending its support to DAYO for carrying out its resolution to safeguard the lives and livelihood of its bonafide members, the Ao Students Union Dimapur (ASUD) has also condemned the “cowardice crime” committed by some Khango-led NSCN (K) cadres.
In a condemnation note by ASUD president, Moayanger Jamir and general secretary, Aoneken Walling stated that, “these political group, who are supposed to safeguard our land from all kind of external forces have instead become a threat to our lives and livelihood” and was a matter of big concern for each and every Naga.
In this regard, while urging the law enforcing agencies to give befitting punishment to the culprit(s), the ASUD also called upon every right thinking denizens of Nagaland to come forward and condemn such act.
ASUD further condemned the “allegations and summoned letter” issued to the DAYO, and stated that it would not tolerate any injustice done nor bent under any pressure to safeguard its citizens and the community.
USTD: Ungma Senso Telongjem Dimapur (USTD) in a condemnation note by president Tekanungba Lkr and general secretary, Lipokmeren Lkr stated that such kind of “shameless and dastardly act” only exposes the level of moral degradation of the perpetrators.
Union also lauded the swift action taken by the West PS Dimapur led by ASI Vikishe Chophy in apprehending the culprits. Union reiterated that if any “untoward incident, wrongful or disingenuous eventualities that might ensue to on the bonafide member and promoter of the company and his staff”, the union cautioned that it would leave no stone unturned to get justice. USTD appealed the authorities concerned to book the perpetrators as per the fundamental law of the land and award befitting justice to the accused.
