Team visited BOC, local vegetable vendors at box cutting and high school junction to check shopkeepers and vendors were following prescribed rates of Kohima municipal council (KMC).
Apart from high school junction market, KDCC said the other two markets were neither following KMC prescribed rates nor displaying KMC rate board for public information. KDCC has asked shop keepers to display KMC and encouraged public to ask shopkeepers to display KMC rate so as not to take advantage of lockdown. Further, the cell urged KMC to control different rates in the town as it “varied from junction to junction”.
