
Panchayat Lower Chandmari Colony (PLCC) sanitation committee and Lower Chandmari Youth Organization (LCYO) has reiterated to its August 31 meeting resolutions for welfare of the colony residents.
A press release by Panchayat Lower Chandmari Colony and Lower Chandmari Youth Organization office bearers stated that, in view of the COVID-19 pandemic, all dog owners in Lower Chandmari Kohima have been asked to ensure that pets are chained or confined within the compound.
It informed that action would be initiated against defaulting owners, where Rs. 1000 will be imposed for the first offence and for the second offence, the pet owner would be summoned in the Panchayat office and appropriate action taken after due deliberation.
PLCC and LCYO also informed residents of Lower Chandmari Colony to avail cesspool service for septic maintenance, where the panchayat will bear 20% of the cesspool service fee.
To avail the 20% subsidy, concerned residents have been requested to contact the convenor of sanitation committee, Ruokuovituo Metha at 9089774942.
For those households unable to avail the cesspool service due to road connectivity issues, the PLCC and LCYO further informed to do the disposal only from 11p.m onwards. Disposal or release was to be done only after using disinfectants and odour control measures.
