
Governor of Nagaland, RN Ravi, has extended warm wishes to the members of Kuki, Chin and Mizo communities and to all the people of Nagaland on the occasion of Chavang Kut festival, which he described as “a beautiful festival of peace and unity.”
In his message, Ravi said Chavang Kut, the post-harvest festival, was a thanksgiving festival for a bountiful harvest. Governor said involvement of young and old in numerous activities including traditional dances, songs and games was “a good way to preserve our rich cultural heritage.”
He also said that celebration of the festival by communities, cutting across boundaries, brings people together and fosters friendship and unity which in turn leads to progress. Governor urged all responsible to strictly observe all Covid-19 SOPs during and after the celebrations of this beautiful festival. He prayed that God bless all with good health, peace and prosperity.
