Newly constructed building of Khulazu Basa Baptist Church was dedicated on December 18 by executive secretary, Chakhesang Baptist Church Council, Rev. Khrotso Mero at K Basa village under Phek district.
Speaking at the dedicatory programme, Rev. Mero expressed hoped that people would come and experience the love of God in the church and stressed on the importance of having fellowship with one another as Christian. A church, he said, must be a place of soul saving and a place where the weak find strength, weary find rest as well as a house of forgiveness and love.
He challenged the people to make the Church a loving place and continue to grow in Christ.
Further, he called upon the people to lead an honest life in their respective profession. Chairman of Chokri Area Baptist Church Council, Rev. Vovotso Theluo in his greetings called upon the people to build their foundation based on the word of God. Further, he asked the people to shine for Christ in everything they do.
Further, chairman of new church building, Pora Keyho informed that the new building cost around Rs. 1.51 crore.
