SUMAN workshop in Peren district

District level workshop on SUMAN was conducted at DC conference hall, New Peren on December 17, attended by DC Sentiwapang Aier, ADC Jalukie Dr Tinujingshi, medical officers and representative from Social Welfare department.

A press release by CMO office district media officer, Pezanguno Celine Secü stated that, workshop was conducted by district programme officer UIP/RCH, Dr. Kiholi Asumi, DPM QA Dr. Neimetuonuo Kuotsu and obs & gynae DH Peren, Dr. Denis. 
Dr. Kiholi Asumi gave a powerpoint presentation on SUMAN highlighting about the schemes, stating its aims and objectives in order to end all preventable maternal and newborn deaths and morbidities and provide positive birthing experience etc. 
Dr. Neimetuonuo Kuotsu also gave an update of Laqshya programme and Dr. Denis presented the District Hospital Peren performance on maternal and child health indicators based on HMIS. Members discussed about the status of the various schemes available under Medical department in the district. 
DC in his concluding remark suggested for more workshops for line departments at the block level for broader understanding and to further disseminate the information and access logistics and for better cooperation. Earlier, deputy CMO Dr. Lanuakum chaired the programme and gave welcome address.
