
Bio-chemistry blood analyzer (BCBA) was dedicated at CHC Pughoboto by CMO Zunheboto, Dr. K. Akaho Sema on November 20.
A press release by district media officer, Shekho Sophie stated that guest of honour, Dr. K. Akaho Sema said that with installation of the machine, the people of Pughoboto would now be able to avail services like kidney function test, liver function test, lipid profile, serum calcium, serum uric acid at reasonably low rate. Further, he highlighted about the COVID-19 status of Zunheboto district and Nagaland and said that the next coming three months would be crucial in determining COVID-19 status. He emphasised that they should sacrifice and compromise the way of living, minimise public gatherings/meetings while adapting to the new normal. He also extended gratitude to Sumi Aphuyemi Hoho (SAH) for bringing good name to the department and also to the entire Sumi community. He appreciated the community participation by SAH during the pandemic and said the investment would bear fruits in the days to come.
DPO (RCH & UIP) Dr. Nukshisangla said that community participation was important for any programme to be successful and further called upon all to maintain the blood analyzer machine.
General secretary, Sumi Aphuyemi Hoho (SAH), Ghuzhui Shohe highlighted that the machine was bought with generous contributions and prayers from general public and under effective leadership and guidance from SMO, Pughoboto CHC, Dr. Hokugha.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by president, Aphuyemi Sumi Küqhakulu, Kohima, Ngukato. K. Tsuipu, secretary SAH Vixepu Swu delivered introductory note, Bible reading and blessing of the machine by parish priest, St. Francis of Assisi, Pughoboto, Rev. Fr. Luke Nagahoto.
Distribution of medicines to various health units under Pughoboto block was also handed over by Dr. Hokugha.
