A programme to mark “National Youth Day” was organised at Nagaland University, Lumami on January 12.
A press release by PRO, Nagaland University stated that a lecture was delivered by vice-chancellor prof. Pardeshi Lal where he delineated the life story of Swami Vivekananda and how in a short life span of 39 years, went on to inspire the nation by his deeds. He also talked about the totipotency inherent in every child and was of the view that ecosystem played an important role in the development of the child.
Prof. Pardeshi Lal further exhorted the youth the emulate Swami Vivekananda for the cause of nation-building.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by PRO, Peter Ki. Around 30 employees and students attended the lecture.
