Extending solidarity to the ongoing protest being carried out by the farmers across the country, the Naga People’s Front (NPF) farmers’ wing has expressed hope that the government would soon hammer out the crisis and work out for the betterment of the farmers of the nation.
In a statement, NPF farmers wing welcomed the intervention and decision of the Supreme Court. It hoped that the committee constituted by the Supreme Court would address the pertinent issue raised by the farmers in a fair and transparent manner.
Asserting that farmers were the backbone of both the rich and the poor in every society and nation, the farmers wing has, therefore, maintained that any laws enacted ought to be in the interest of the farmers and not otherwise.
