As a mark of their resentment against the alleged insensitive and adamant attitude of the State government and NHIDCL towards their demand for realignment of road from zero point for about a kilometre in order to ensure safety and wider junction and better gradient in National Highway between Changtongya and Longleng, leaders of Akhoya Youth Organisation (AYO) staged a protest on Friday.
They displayed placards expressing their displeasure and eagerness to have better road under their jurisdiction.
It may be noted that the PWD (NH) had also written to the State government in support of the realignment proposal earlier.
