Fire contained from spreading at Tenyiphe-I, Dimapur

Fire & Emergency Services (F&ES) team from Fire Station Chümoukedima rushed to extinguish fire that broke out at Tenyiphe-I, B-khel, 6th Mile, Dimapur on receiving a fire call around 4:52 pm. 

A press release by F&ES, RO (E) Kohima, Kenny Khing stated that, two fire tenders along with sufficient equipments & fire personnel were pressed into action. It took the fire team around 20 minutes to bring the fire under control, where one katcha house was gutted in the inferno.  Due to timely information and response, fire was prevented from spreading further to the surrounding buildings. Property worth Rs.1.5 lakhs approximately was lost in the inferno. Cause of fire is suspected to be from electrical short circuit, but there was no casualty. The response team was led by duty commander SI Kenyuyhun Kent.
