Book on ‘Transformative Action for Common Future’ released

Author of 40 books, theologian and writer, Dr. Wati Longchar’s new book on, “transformative action and common future” was released by principal, Discipleship Bible College (DBC) Dimapur, Rev. S. Wati on December 1.

A press release by the organisers stated that, the book which has been translated into 10 languages including Mandarin and Burmese, covers a wide range of issues confronting the society today, such as the problems aggravated by COVID-19. Speaking at the launch, Dr. Tali Ao commended how Dr. Wati Longchar’s thoughts flow like clear water, based on and derived from the perceptive analysis of Biblical texts, realities of life, capitalist and dominant market, churches, naive dependency on wealth and power and challenges aggravated by COVID-19.
It may be noted that the book was jointly published by DBC and the programme for Theological and Cultures in Asia (PTCA).
Dr. Wati Longchar serves as regional missionary for theological education in East and South Asia of International Ministry of American Baptist Churches and Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang, Nagaland. The book is available at DBC, ABAM Impur and Christian book stores Dimapur.
