NSCN (I-M) Phom region has denied the news report on Naga army personnel from Phom region joining the FGN and claimed the report was “totally baseless and condemnable”.
In a statement, CAO of NSCN (I-M) Phom region, Menjei Phom stated that Chuba Kumzuk Phom was recently terminated from the NSCN membership on account of “anti-national activities against our organisation”. He joined the FGN in his individual capacity not as stated in the media. Stating that “a habitual defector and terminated person cannot use the name of the entire Phom region, NSCN at any cost”, the CAO claimed that Phom national workers led by him, collective leadership member Meyong Phom and all the central representatives and regional authorities were peacefully performing their assigned responsibilities and duties as usual.
