Bongkolong Village Community Hall under Ahthibung sub-division was inaugurated on January 22. The community hall was constructed under MGNREGA 2019-2020 and the inauguration programme was graced by advisor, Water Resources, Namri Nchang as special guest.
According to DIPR report, while addressing the gathering, Namri Nchang spoke about the developmental activities since the inception of statehood and called upon the people to retrospect on the past and unite for a better cause. He encouraged the educated students and public to be more vigilant and educate the uneducated and further asked them to refrain from false propaganda.
A memorandum was also submitted to the advisor by BYSU and Bongkolong village councils.
Earlier, advisor inaugurated the newly constructed community hall wherein Christian Church Bongkolong Elder, L.K Kholhou pronounced dedicatory prayer. The inaugural function was presided by Matthew Hangsing & Kimhoivah Hangsing, welcome address by BDO RD Block Ahthibung, Noklenzenba Jamir, vote of thanks by Bongkolong village council chairman, Lalkholen Hangsing and special number by Veineichin Hangsing and cultural dance by youth & students’ union of Bongkolong Village.
Others who spoke included advisor NDPP Bongkolong unit, Songsei Hangsing, ADC Jalukie, Dr. Tinojongshi Chang and project director DRDA Peren, Azenuo Pienyü.
