Dimapur police in a joint operation with Assam police arrested two persons on February 2, 2021 in connection with a murder and carjacking case in Sonitpur district of Assam.
According to Dimapur police PRO, besides the arrest of two accused identified as Biswajit Mech (25) and Saliatro Khempari (40), the joint team also recovered the hijacked vehicle.
PRO said the arrest and recovery was a result of a consecutive police operation in Naharbari,
Diphupar and Doyapur area.
The arrested persons along with the recovered vehicle was handed over to Assam police, PRO said.
3 rescued: Dimapur women police station personnel along with the assistance of Karbi-Anglong police rescued three female minors missing from the border area near New Field Check Gate on February 2, 2021. The three rescued girls are from Kiphire district.
In this connection, PRO said the necessary steps have been taken to re-unite them with their respective family members.
