Lt. Gen. JP Mathew will take over as the next General Officer Commanding of 3 (Spear) Corps Rangapahar (Dimapur) from outgoing GOC, Lt. Gen. RP Kalita.
Lt. Gen. Mathew, who is from the Punjab regiment, is currently posted at the Directorate of Discipline, Ceremonials and Welfare, Integrated Headquarter. Lt. Gen. Mathew also served as the GOC of Victor Force (Rashtriya Rifles) in Jammu & Kashmir.
Lt. Gen. Mathew is scheduled to arrive Nagaland on Sunday and the official handing and taking over will take place next week. Sources said that the present GOC 3 Corps Lt. Gen. RP Kalita is likely to take over as the Director General Manpower Planning and Personnel Services.
