
Fire and emergency services personnel contained fires that broke out in different locations of Dimapur and Tuli on February 10 and February 11 respectively.
According to F&ES, RO (E), a team from fire station Dimapur (West) contained a fire that broke out at Firing Range (army camp), Diphu Road, Dimapur on February 10, 2021. The team swung into action on receiving a fire call at 7:43 a.m.
Two fire tenders along with sufficient equipment and fire personnel were pressed into the scene where one truck carrying household goods was gutted in the inferno.
Property worth Rs.5 lakh (approx.) was lost in the inferno and property worth Rs.15 lakh was salvaged.
It was learnt that cause of the fire was due to the truck contacting a live wire. It took 55 minutes by the fire team to bring fire under control. No casualty was reported. The response team was led by duty commander ASIK, Hito Zhimo.
Tuli: A fire call was received at 2:35 p.m. on February 11 at 10th mile, Tuli. Fire & Emergency Services team from Fire Station Tuli proceed to control the fire along with fire tenders and sufficient equipments & fire personnel.
One Maruti 800 AC was gutted in the inferno and property worth Rs.25000 (approx.) was lost. Cause of fire was suspected to be from vehicle wiring short circuit. No casualty was reported. The response team was led by duty commander ASI Noklangsangba.
