Two-day “skill development training on baking without oven,” organised by District Administration and DLCW-Mahila Shakti Kendra (DLCW-MSK), Phek under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) concluded on February 10 at Town Hall, Chozuba under Phek district.
A press release by DLCW MSK stated during the training programme, Phek DC Razouvolie Dozo stressed on the importance of local entrepreneurs manufacturing for people in the region.
He stated that in order to improve the supply of locally made products in town, another baking class for young women selected from different towns in Phek would be organised at Phek HQ in the near future.
Addressing the participants, nodal officer BBBP, Phek Bhavani Sri stated that financial independency and self reliance were important components in empowering women. She mentioned that BBBP focused on identifying rural unemployed women and up skill them with potential for income generation.
It may be noted that the objective of the training was to enhance self dependency and income generation skills for the rural women. Altogether, 10 women from Chozuba town availed the training course.
