Financial literacy prog by SBI Gram Seva

As part of the SBI Gram Seva programme, ANMA Integrated Development Association (AIDA), Don Bosco in collaboration with SBI, Dimapur supported by NABARD conducted financial literary programme in five adopted villages under Chumoukedima Sub- Division on February 12. 

Altogether 220 participants attended the programme. 

SBI regional business office, lead district manager Tholi Paul, director of SBI- RSETI Novin Basumatary, CSP Singrijan Aveo Khusoh, and CSP Urra village ChonbenShitio also attended the programme. 

Tholi Paul and NovinBasumatary emphasised on PM social security schemes such as PM Jan Dhan Yojana, PM Suraksha Bima Yojana, PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and others such as Atal Pension Yojana, PM Mudra Yojana Loan, Kisan Credit Card and supports provided by NABARD for FPO and SHGs. Awareness was also made on personal account security from frauds which are on the rise. 

The doubts and queries of villagers with regard to financial matters, online banking and bank accounts were cleared during the open interaction hour in all the five villages respectively. 

Consent life insurance forms were also distributed which will be collected by AIDA staff and submitted to the LDM for further mechanism. 

Opening of zero bank accounts of the interested candidates will also be done through nearby CSP at the earliest to ensure that every eligible candidate in the villages have bank accounts.
