Kohima Law College (KLC) conducted social work on February 12 with a motto to promote “Dignity of Labour” where all the students and teachers took part by cleaning the college compound, class rooms and constructed toilets etc.
Assistant professor, Kezhokhoto Savi, who is in-charge of students’ welfare said that the dignity of labour was the philosophy that all types of jobs should be respected equally, and that no occupation has been considered superior and none of the jobs should be discriminated on any basis.
“Regardless of whether one’s occupation involves physical works or mental labour it is held that the job deserves respect”, he stated.
