CNCCI to join ‘Bharat Vyapar Bandh’ on Feb 26

Confederation of Nagaland Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CNCCI) Tuesday announced its decision to support and join the one-day “Bharat Vyapar Bandh” on February 26, 2021 called by Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) to oppose recent Goods and Service Tax (GST) amendment.

In a press release, CNCCI chairman Dr. Khekugha Muru and general secretary Dr. Seyievilie Mor have directed all the district chamber of commerce and industry to enforce “Bharat Vyapar Bandh” on February 26, 2021 from 6 am to 4 pm in their respective districts.

CNCCI stated that the bandh has been necessitated as the existing GST regime has become difficult for business community to comply unless it was simplified.

CNCCI said that the demand by business community across the country to simplify GST regime has not yet been addressed forcing the business community to call for the bandh.

The  confederation informed that the proposed bandh would be limited only to commercial business activities and all other activities would not come under the purview of bandh, adding that other activities would continue as normal.

Confederation of Nagaland Chamber of Commerce and Industry has, therefore, appealed to the consumers to bear with the inconveniences.
