164 Inf. Bn. (TA) (H&H) conduct free health camp

164 Inf Bn (TA) (H&H) Naga under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N) conducted a free medical screening and treatment camp at Jakhama village on February 11 as a part of military civic activity.

According to PRO HQ IGAR (N), the camp screened locals and underprivileged residents of remote region of Jakhama village for common medical disorders such as diabetes and hypertension.

It may be noted that, majority of the population catered were 60 years and above. A six year old with amputated left elbow was also brought to the camp and his parents were advised to provide the child with a below elbow prosthesis.

Earlier, an awareness lecture on good hygiene and sanitary care was also conducted to ensure behavioural change. Altogether, 63 patients including children were provided with medical care.
