NDWM Nagaland commemorate ‘Hope Day’

National Domestic Workers Movement (NDWM), Nagaland region commemorated “Hope Day” at Assisi auditorium on February 27, under the theme “rebuilding hope and confidence”.

A press release by Assisi Centre for Integrated Development stated that resource person, Priya Shyam, expressed that the pandemic had shattered hope and confidence that cannot be build by others but by individuals alone. Shyam also stated that platform provided through NDWM Child Right Movement Nagaland Region through Assisi Centre for Integrated Development was an appropriate place for children to know their rights and to lobby with government to implement laws for safety and security of children.

Coordinator, NDWM Nagaland region, Sr. Pramila, stated that Hope day was celebrated every year to break silence and voice out against gender disparity and inequality.
